History Committed to Caring Bedford Nursing & Rehabilitation Center (BNRC) is a family owned long term care and short term rehabilitation facility located in the Town of Bedford, New Hampshire. Originally known as Bedford Nursing Home, the facility was acquired by Norman and Elizabeth Turcotte in 1972. Their son, John Turcotte, assumed full ownership and management control of BNRC in 2014. At that time, the facility was in a distressed condition and on the verge of being shut down by the State of New Hampshire. Working closely with a select group of highly skilled healthcare professionals, John immediately began improving all aspects of the facility affecting the quality of care and quality of life of our residents, including nursing and rehabilitative care, dining services, life enhancement and social services. As a result of these efforts, we are proud to announce that the the last three annual inspections of BNRC conducted by the State of New Hampshire were deficiency free, and in 2020 BNRC achieved a Five Star Quality Rating from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS). John and every member of the BNRC team remain committed to continuing to improve the services we offer and the quality of life of each of our residents in a happy, safe and friendly environment.
