Participants enjoy the company of peers and meaningful activities within our safe, home-like environment for truly fulfilling days. Our experienced staff and volunteers are extensively trained in Best Friends™ model of care. They work individually with our residents to learn their life stories and essentially become their “Best Friends.” These “Best Friends” know how to emphasize our residents’ strengths and abilities, encourage them to participate in meaningful and fun activities, and spend days together that are positive, upbeat and life-affirming. “The best part of being a Best Friends’ volunteer is not the four hours we spend with our friends, although it doesn’t get much better than that.
