This brand new affordable 55 and over community combines luxury living with affordable rents. In-unit washer and dryers, fully equipped kitchen, private balcony, indoor parking, 24-hour security, a full schedule of activities and prime location. Forest Oaks is located directly off Harlem Avenue and connected to a bowling alley with two commercial spaces and the intention of one being a restaurant. The project was developed by Phil Moeller of Carefree Development. Mr. Moeller used low-income housing tax credits (LIHTC) awarded by the Illinois Housing Development Agency IHDA and syndicated by the National Equity Fund, a grant awarded to the development by the Federal Home Loan Bank FHLBC and project-based vouchers from The Housing Authority of Cook County.
